My pots are thrown on the wheel. I then burnish/polish them, those with spikes have them put on with slip at this stage and then the pots are fired in an electric kiln. Once this is done I then pattern them using a thinner slip. The pots are then fired in a bin of sawdust using different woods including pine, oak and sycamore to vary effects. Striped and spotted pots now have the slip removed to reveal the pattern.
Size 6 cm high x 8 cm wide.
Each pot is unique as effects vary depending on weather and wood type used in the firings - the pot in the photos is the one for sale.
These pots are not suitable for water since they have been burnished.
Some spots may be dark or missing and this is part of the process.
